Grandma came for a visit this past week and she brought summer with her.
We had a great week of long stroller rides, frozen yogurt trips, Grandma taking Clay's early morning shift, Mommy and Daddy date nights, Scrabble games, and a day trip Up North.
AND, AND, AND... Clay's very first time sleeping through the night! (He hasn't done it again since, but that night was glorious. I only checked on him at 3am, 5am, and made Eric check on him at 7am when he woke for work.)

Clay convinced Grandma to buy him two new books - one about trains, the other about bees - while on our day trip. Clay is very into books these days.
Clay is also into the tune, "The Wheels on the Bus." He can be upset about almost anything, and singing him that song makes everything all better. And so, Grandma also gifted Clay with a new bus. Fittingly, Clay likes the wheels most of all.
During Grandma's visit, Eric and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. On the evening of our anniversary, we took Clay for his first trip to the splash park.
Then we observed Clay's first memorial day with steaks on the grill and a car ride.
